Lear house is looking more beautiful than ever – thanks to a major refurbishment programme that we are currently undertaking.
Many of the resident’s rooms and most of the general spaces, including the resident’s lounges have been beautifully redecorated and given new carpets curtains, fabrics, bed lines and matching accessories. The bathrooms have been updated with new suites and the lighting has been improved.
A very important part of the refurbishment has been making sure that the choice of colours and patterns are suitable for residents who have specific needs in relation to memory loss, including dementia care and Alzheimer’s disease. We are particularly careful to ensure we adhere to the guidelines provided by The University of Stirling which give details about how to provide the best possible environment for residents with these care needs.
We have had great feedback from residents, families, visitors and the staff and look forward to continuing to refurbish the last few remaining rooms this year.
