Unfortunately it will be closing down at the end of February 2020 Hoyle Road

Facilities

Hoyle Road is a two-storey property offering Supported Living, and is ideal for people with a reasonable amount of mobility (with or without walking aids) and independence. There is both a lift and a stair lift in the property. The house has a real community feel and the residents meet and socialise regularly, as well as having the independence and privacy of their own living space. The property consists of  five single bed-sitting rooms each with en-suite shower room,  four single flats comprising lounge and bedroom with en-suite shower room and one  double flat comprising hallway, lounge, small kitchen and bedroom with en-suite shower room. Gardens surround most of the building and there is a small carpark and plenty of on street parking available.

Hoyle Road also has a large and comfortable lounge, a dining room and a conservatory, offering multiple spaces for the residents to meet and talk. We have a Housekeeper and House Assistants and, between them, they make sure that a midday meal is prepared and served every day and also makes sure your food is available for breakfast and tea.

To further the community feel of the house, the midday meal and tea are served in the dining room where our residents can meet and chat over their meal. House Assistants also take care of the upkeep of the house, making sure all your needs are taken care of and are available 12 hours a day.

Activities

Our Activities Coordinator visits regularly and organises a range of activities for our residents. She is always happy to ask the residents for suggestions of activities they would like to get involved in.

Residents are also regularly invited to Lear House to join in with other activities that range from trips out to local attractions, gardening, shopping, coffee and quiz mornings, arts and crafts, sing-a-longs, cocktail or wine evenings, and music events – there’s something for all tastes!
